Day 1

Arrival in Bagdogra| Transfer to Phuentsholing. Travel time: Around 6 Hours, 145 KMS.

Pickup from Bagdogra Airport. Start your journey to Phuentsholing. Reach Phuetsholing. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.(Meals included- Dinner)

Day 2

Phuentsholing to Thimphu with Road Sightseeing. Travel Time: Around 5 Hours, 160 KMS/

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a road trip from Phuentsholing to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Along the way, enjoy the scenic views of the HImalaya Mountains and the Bhutanese countryside. Upon arrival in Thimphu, check-in at Hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay at Thimphu(Meals included- Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 3

Thimphu to Punakha| Travel time: Around 2 Hours, 75 KMS

After breakfast, start your journey to the Punakha. On the way, Visit Dochula Pass. In Punakha, you will visit Punakha Dzong, Suspension Bridge and Chimi Lakhang, the Fertility Temple. In evening, return to Thimphu. Overnight stay at Thimphu. (Meals included- Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 4

Thimphu sightseeing-Stay Paro |Travel Time: Around 1:30 House, 50 KMS

After breakfast, start exploring Thimphu’s attractions, which include Buddha Dordenma, Tashichho Dzong, National Memorial Chorten and Simply Bhutan. After completing sightseeing, drive to Paro. Check-in at Paro Hotel. Overnight at Paro .(Meals included- Breakfast & Dinner).

Day 5

Hike to Tiger’s Nest. Hike Time: Around 4-5 Hours, Altitude: 10,245ft., 6.4 KMs.

This day will begin with an early breakfast. You’ll embark on a challenging but rewarding hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. You can take Hot Stone Bath after the hike. In the evening, you will return to Paro. Overnight at Paro .(Meals included- Breakfast & Dinner).

Day 6

Paro to Phuentsholing| Travel Time: Around 5 Hours, 148 KMS.

After breakfast, drive back from Paro to Phuentsholing. Upon reaching Phuentsholing, check-in at Hotel. Explore the town at your own. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing .(Meals included- Breakfast & Dinner).

Day 7

Transfer to Bagdogra Airport|Travel time: Around 6 Hours, 145 KMS.

Have breakfast, check out from the Pheuntsholing Hotel, start your journey to Bagdogra Airport. You will then be dropped to Bagdogra Airport. (Meals included- Breakfast)

Note:

• Please note, roads are zig-zag and we suggest you bring your own medication if you have motion sickness.

• Monastery, temple and Dzongs opening days and times can and do vary with national holidays and events such a visit by a member of the Royal Family or auspicious ceremonies.

• Museums remain closed on weekends and Takin preserve center is closed on Monday.

• All the guests are required to wear Gho & Kira, traditional dress of Bhutan in Punakha and visit the famous Punakha Dzong.

• We advise you to bring comfortable clothes, warm jacket, good walking/trekking/hiking shoes, rainproof jackets, hats, sunglasses and sun screen.

• The nearest hospital is located 30 minutes’ drive from the hotel in Paro and 20 minutes’ drive in Punakha and Thimphu. Consultation, treatment and medicine are free to locals and tourists too.

DRESS CODE FOR VISITING DZONG, MONASTERIES AND TEMPLES IN BHUTAN

  • Additional Information for entry permit:

    ● It is mandatory for all visitors to Bhutan to hold a valid comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes cancellation & emergency evacuation cover.

    Currency and Banking Facilities

    • Bhutan’s unit of currency is the ngultrum (Nu), with 100 Chetrum =1Ngulturm. The Ngultrum is fixed to the value of Indian Rupee. Indian Currency of denomination 100 is widely acceptable in the country. Indian Rupee bank notes of denomination 500 and above are not accepted in Bhutan. In the case of tourists visiting Bhutan the bank notes shall be retained on entry to be returned upon exit. Few hotels and shops accept payments through mastercard and Visa. ATM service is available everywhere in Bhutan. Tobacco and Alcohol Products • Bhutan is a smoke-free country. Import of cigarettes/tobacco products is NOT allowed and is a punishable offense in Bhutan.
